Bracknell Hornets are pleased to announce that the 21 year old defenceman, Kyle Goddard has sign for the 2019/20 Season.

Kyle Goddard started his ice hockey career with the Juniors with Gosport and Basingstoke where he continued playing for the U18s where he played up with the Basingstoke Buffalo’s in 2014-15 season for 8 fixtures (1 TP & 2 PIM). During the 2015-16 season, Kyle played majority of his hockey in Canada with the Coldwater Falcons where he played 25 fixtures and ended up with 3 points and 6 penalty minutes. Kyle also played a handful of games with the Bisons U18 as well as playing up for the Bisons U20s, Buffalo and Solent Devils.

Kyle continued playing Ice Hockey with the Bisons U20s where he played 14 games with 9 points and 40 penalty minutes. Kyle also played 1 game with the Bisons, 8 games with Buffalo (5 TP & 4 PIM) and 5 games with the Devils (1 TP & 2 PIM). Kyle then signed for the Buffalos in the NIHL 2 league for 12 games where he assisted to 6 goals and sat for a total of 12 penalty minutes before moving to Gosport with the Solent Devils for 14 games (3 TP & 2 PIM) who then made it into the Playoffs in Bracknell.

Last season, Kyle started his season with the Chelmsford Chieftains where he played 7 games (1 TP & 4 PIM) before moving to Bracknell and played with the Hornets where he finished the season having played 18 fixtures, scoring 1 goal and sat for a total of 12 penalty minutes.

Bracknell Hornets Head Coach Mark Saunders says “Kyle is a young defence man who is keen to learn and has a skill set which I feel can help him make an impact for us this year. With the defence core we have he will be learning every time he steps on the ice and I know he’s keen to up his responsibilities this season. I’m looking forward to seeing how he improves throughout 2019-20 and I’m pleased he’s agreed to return to Bracknell.”

Defenceman Kyle Goddard said after signing “I am pleased to be resigning with the Hornets for another season, it should be a good year with a good group of boys and I’m hoping to finish this season in the new league taking a run at some silverware. I can’t wait to get started.

Kyle stands 5’11” (180cm) weighing at 141 lbs (64kg) and shoot with his left.
